Poseidon Mk SE7EN Diver Training

The Mk6 or SE7EN is a Rebreather first designed for recreational diving with the simple philosphy that if there is a problem switch to open circuit and ascend. This concept is still the forefront of this unit and the training is a lot more simple as a result. Diver training has been developed for non-divers all the way down to 60m.

The AP Diving rebreathers are modular and allow for changes whilst the diver learns more and more.

Are Rebreathers Safe?

Life is a risk no matter what we do. We take the most mundane task which has a high risk factor without a second thought; e.g. driving on our roads. The risk factor is high no matter how we look at it. SCUBA diving is a risk factor as much as getting up in the morning is a risk. I find it amazing that people now wish to quantify that getting injured or killed in a road accident is more acceptable then perhaps SCUBA diving or swimming in the sea. I personally do not like any sort of injury or death in any form. It is just not nice - period. So why do people get hung up on specific death statistics which could be analysed to prove generally whatever you want depending how you approach the subject. I do not care for statistics which have not been conducted by an independent source with high morals, with no given agenda and how many are there of those? I believe in 2010 there were about 400 deaths worldwide 380 open circuit and 20 rebreather. We have near that on our roads over one Easter weekend. Stop driving SCUBA is safer!
